We're not landscape architects. We're not civil engineers. But we are former players, coaches & groundskeepers here to help.

Frequent Industry Issues We See:

Improper Field Orientation/Layout

The setting sun in a direct path with the views of the batter and catcher

Foul balls from adjacent fields disrupting play or injuring players

Overlooking flaws with the popular "pinwheel" or "four-leaf clover"

Substandard Building Materials

image2

Skimping on the line items in the budget that mean the most

Not having a life-span maintenance plan to protect the investment

Health/safety risks from lips, storm drains in play, ragged fencing, etc.

Designs Without Proper End-User Input

Dictating to the consumer rather than collaborating with coaches

A lack of attention to detail on player and fan functionality

Hiring architects/engineers that never played or coached the sport

One Shot At A Legacy

This is the biggest purchase you'll make as a school administrator or parks director. And you really only have one chance to "get it right." How do you know what that looks like? Even if you're a big enough sports fan to have a good idea, where in the world do you begin? We're Step 1. There is no Step 2.

The "Invisible" Value

Often times, our biggest contribution to a better-performing facility is hidden from view; never seen by anyone but the contractors during field construction. We guide initial funding to the items under a player's foot -- keeping the games played as scheduled, in the safest and most-conducive environment possible.

Inside-Out Approach

Our recommendations aren't always splashy. Instead of that gaudy new scoreboard, those who are there to play might be better off with an extra inch of sand in the soil profile. We aim to change the narrative on what is beautiful and what is utilitarian at a sports complex; the world currently has it backwards.

PROVIDING SIMPLICITY TO YOUR ATHLETIC COMPLEX

Remember Why Fans Are There

The best concession stand money can buy sure won't help drain water around second base. Nor will it be open at all if the soil profile inside the white lines aren't the primary design concern. That isn't to say that we forget all about the structures beyond the field of play. We excel there, too... but treat them more like dessert. It's all a reprogramming of the client's wish list. Once a field's composition is satisfactory, we move on to assuring that every external sight line is considered; every building, parking lot, and walkway is meticulously laid out.

No Cookie-Cutter Approach

There is nothing stock about what rolls out of our office -- whether its one field or a complex of 20 or more; baseball, softball, soccer, football, lacrosse, or cricket. Each playing surface is given the same attention to detail as any professional franchise owner would demand from a world-leading sports architecture firm. The fit and feel of every project we do is meant to emulate that of a tailored suit or a hand-crafted glove. These are unique works of art, but never just for viewing behind glass cases. These beauties perform.

"4Most laid out Options A, B, and C for every component of our proposed facilities. It was never an overwhelming amount of information to sift through, nor light on the research. By walking us through the pros and cons of each line item, they earned all our trust. They were clearly in it for our best interest and not to push products. It's why we ultimately told them: 'Tell us which one we want.'"

Laurrie Minor, Chamber of Commerce Director - City of Sullivan, IL

Forget "best"; we have the ability to deliver MLB-level specs to every site. But that's not always necessary or proper. Instead, let us curate what is "right."

"With the 4Most team, I knew the answer was 'Yes' long before I'd ask 'Do you assist us with that?' After they handled everything, I finally quit asking."

Mike Reynolds, Superintendent - Glasgow School District (MO)

Allow us to do all the leg work in organizing the dozens of contractors, vendors, and installers required to execute your dream facility.

WE LOOK FORWARD TO SHOWING YOU HOW TO VIEW SITES DIFFERENTLY
